CSH also holds class sessions in the Domestic Violence Batterer’s Intervention Program using the “Duluth Model” to help batterer’s fulfill their court mandated requirements. We charge a fee for each group class the client attends in this 26-week program.
CSH understands that the influx of recent immigrants has been getting in trouble with the law because they don’t understand what categorizes domestic violence which is a cultural issue. For those who have not been educated on what they must do to comply with the law, this program educates clients on cultural differences so that they are informed of the many rules and systems set up in the United States.
Our experienced licensed facilitators work with client to foster non-violent behaviors and communication skills to prevent and intervene in future domestic violent occurrences. The class is facilitated in the client’s native language, Chinese, so that language will not become another barrier to their road to cessation of domestic violence behavior.
