Programs

We offer various educational programming for the Chinese immigrants.

SPRING 2020 WORKSHOP SERIES

Chinese-American Sunshine House (CSH) is signing up students for our Spring 2020 Workshop Series which include mental health workshops, parenting classes and English classes. They are either 8 or 10 weeks and will meet weekly. All classes are FREE to attend.

You are welcome to sign up for all three classes. Mental Health and Parenting Classes are held in Mandarin Chinese language. Certificates are provided for participates who complete English and Parenting classes.

Learn from licensed mental health professionals about how to increase your mental health education and well-being.

We Are New York Classes

Increase your conversational English skills while learning about NYC services.

ALTERNATIVE TO INCARCERATION

We also have a fee-based Alternative to Incarceration program which includes Domestic Violence Batterer Intervention Program, Anger Management Program and Parenting Classes. We receive referrals from the Administration of Children Services, Kings County Criminal Court, and other legal providers to provide court-mandated programs for their clients.

26 WEEKS

Domestic Violence Batterer Intervention Program

Using the “Duluth Model” to help batterer’s fulfill their court mandated requirements.

12 WEEKS

Anger Management Program

Provide skills needed to change maladaptive behaviors into healthier behaviors.

8 WEEKLY sessions

Parenting Classes

Increase your parenting knowledge and learn how to use effective communication skills to build a positive relationship with your children.

Educating parents on better communication skills with their children.

Psychosocial Club

A culturally-sensitive environment for those with mental illness to socialize, learn and become empowered as a group of survivors. 

Youth Program

provide guidelines on how to make friends and buffer against loneliness and depression.

Elderly Care Educational Workshops

Educate seniors on different mental health problems and the various forms of abuse.

Annual Community Mental Health Events
